The Harold Plotter with Hermione and Ron, that’s what happens in the movies. Hermione in the movies steals all of Ron’s cool moments. Maybe Arthur just remembered the movies. Maybe he didn’t know better.
Also: When Joon said he didn’t discuss Amaryllis workaholism with Fenn, maybe he didn’t lie, but rather didn’t realize that’s what they did. I think he’s got enough original thought on the topic that he doesn’t feel like he’s just saying it because of Fenn, which he felt was what Amaryllis question was about.

Steven’s killing it this whole episode.
When Fallather called Fenn a quarter Elf, that was totally a clue! For him, Elves are better than Humans. Humans are an Ugly caricature of Elves to him. To call a Half Elf a Quarter Elf is an insult. “Yeah, the only good thing about your party is that it has at least half an Elf in it. And she looks like just a quarter Elf.”
That is a clue! It allowed us to deduce: “This person is a real dick.”
Moreover I just realized that with Elves being so obsessed with Elves doing everything perfectly, a half elf, that is, an imperfect Elf would be something REALLY annoying to them, even more so than usual racist assholes.
“How big are the tits on this frogs”

As an American citizen below voting age, Joon is someone who will, when they are older, become a sovereign. Because, you know, there is no higher authority than the voters. Someone who will become a sovereign could be called a princess.
The locus is explicitly not a member of any nation. But since it’s the only one, it’s not really a soverreign yet, so, princess. The next companion, this doesn’t really spoiler anything, is at the top of it’s species too and we’ll see why it doesn’t really rule them… yet(speculation).
A cool example of this sort of “fanfic retelling” of a series that happened IRL is actually the Russian Wonderful Wizard of Oz, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wizard_of_the_Emerald_City . It sticks fairly close to Oz in the first book, changing some elements but hewing to the same basic plot, and then completely strikes out into the wilderness in the sequels. (Which, as with the original, nobody has ever read anyways.)
Amusingly, if you grew up in the eastern bloc, you’ve probably read a translation of the Emerald City books, and also have no idea that another version even exists. (If you remember the main characters as Ellie and her dog Totoshka, you’ve read the Russian version.)
