    I guess I am a bit confused.
Why wouldn’t the BabyEaters refusal of the terms, not alter the entire agreement? If they BabyEaters refuse to comply the SuperHappies would deal with them and now we would only need to come to a compromise between the two species. I also missed why the ship would have 3 hours before the SuperHappies figured out what was going on but that is a lesser point.

At the risk of speaking for the author, I’ll answer as best I can.

To the first point – because the SuperHappies are fair. Even if they have to impose change by military conquest, they will still implement the ideal compromise position. They are Good.

To the second point – That is how long it would take the Impossible Possible World to make the sun go nova if they started immediately (as they did). They didn’t know when the SuperHappies would show up. It could be in ten minutes or in several days.

Great info. Lucky me I discovered your blog by chance (stumbleupon).

I have saved it for later!

the true ending is a bit hypocritical if you ask me. whille our children may not suffer as much as the babyeaters some how reformatting is good enough for them but how dare they even consider reformatting us.

There’s a fair bit of argument over which ending is the better ending, partly for this reason. :)

Great podcasting! What’s the background music starting at about minute 17? Excellent choice!
