Here’s how it makes sense: Most people who aren’t in the Order of the Phoenix think that Dumbledore is kind of insane and, while clever sometimes, also is sentimental and has thoughts that make little sense. But for some reason Voldemort is his only enemy that thinks he’s a genius to even greater extents than he really is.
